The old Parish Church of St Paul Harringay was burnt down in 1984 and this building, designed by the architects Peter Inskipp and Peter Jenkins, was opened in 1993. It is one of only two churches built in the C20th mentioned in Simon Jenkin's book England's Thousand Best Churches. The other one, by the way, is also in North London - the Lutyen's-designed St Jude's in Golders Green
